Hello everyone,

I just installed Hue 3.7 on my HDP cluster (2.2) using this great tutorial : http://gethue.com/hadoop-hue-3-on-hdp-installation-tutorial/

Everything is working fine, except Oozie.

When I try to run hiveserver2 actions, I'm getting this error : E0701: XML schema error, cvc-complex-type.2.4.c: The matching wildcard is strict, but no declaration can be found for element 'hive2'.

Any idea on that? Did I miss some required configuration in the hue.ini?

Than you very much for any hint on that.

Regards,
Orlando

Either your Oozie version is too old and does not support the HiveServer2 action or it was not configured with.

In:
/etc/oozie/conf/oozie-default.xml

oozie.service.SchemaService.wf.schemas

hive2-action-0.1.xsd

Hi Orlando, did you manage to resolve this?

I am facing similar issues. I have 3.8 installed but am seeing the exact same error as Orlando:

E0701: XML schema error, cvc-complex-type.2.4.c: The matching wildcard is strict, but no declaration can be found for element 'hive2'.

When I add hive2-action-0.1.xsd to my oozie-default.xml this causes Oozie server to stop and display the following error:

org.apache.oozie.service.ServiceException: E0103: Could not load service classes, resource [hive2-action-0.1.xsd] not found

Did you have a similar issue?

Cheers,
Dale

This above error is that you are using an older version of Oozie (probably need 4.1+)

Hi Orlando,

I am also getting the same error when I restart oozie server:
Could not load service classes, resource [hive2-action-0.1.xsd] not found.

Our Oozie version is 4.1.0.2.2

Mitesh

Hi,

I actually can't help you with this issue. As Romain said, it seems that the Oozie version was too old.

I'm now on HDP 2.3 and HDP 2.4 and everything works fine.

Bests,
Orlando

Hi Roman,

As you suggested, our oozie version is 4.1+ and still throwing this error.

Thanks,
Mitesh.

Hello everyone,

hive2-action is supported from oozie 4.2 and not 4.1. Oozie 4.2 comes with HDP2.3

Thanks,
Mitesh
