Hi everyone,

I'd like to release 1.1.0 in the next week, if possible. Please reply to
this with anything you'd like to get into the release, or submit some
pull requests so we can get them merged.

I'm currently tracking:
* Joey's fix for MR on a kerberized cluster
* CDK-476: Oozie URI support
* CDK-843: Replace partitions and compact
* CDK-966: Fix for schema tool
* CDK-971: SPI method to find datasets in HDFS

I think there are also a couple of bug fixes waiting for attention in
JIRA that we need to do as well.

Thanks!

rb

Thanks for driving this Ryan. I'd like to get CDK-988 (Add a long range partitioner with fixed size bounds) into the release if possible.

Thanks,
Tom

Thanks for adding the pull request, Tom. I'll have a look at it today.

I'm also thinking about deprecating the PartitionedDataset code in the
SPI in favor of using PartitionView. We could technically remove it
because it is in the SPI, but there might be people using it and
deprecating is reasonable. Any thoughts out there on removing this?

We also talked on my other post but I would like to see CDK-973 as well.

Yes, thanks Chris. I'm planning on getting that in as well. Thanks!

Ryan-

Do you have a feeling for when 1.1.0 will be released?

Thanks,
Chris

I'm aiming for this week. There is a critical kerberos fix that we need
to get in that has been the main blocker. That should be submitted
tomorrow so we can move forward.

Hi everyone,

The 1.1.0 release is taking longer than we expected. We currently have 2
outstanding issues that are blocking it that should be done sometime
this week because they are good to go other than a test failure in one
of the profiles. We've also not committed the Oozie support yet, but it
is ready and we just need to decide if it should be in Kite or upstream
in Oozie.

Thanks,

rb
