Hello Civics for CO Coalition,

 It's official: next week is Civics Learning Week! 

I hope you can join us at one of the events below.

• Civics Happy Hour, March 11th 5-7 PM, Wyman's no.5, 2033 E 13th, Denver: Show off your knowledge at Civics Trivia Night! 
  Proceeds from the night’s sales will support travel for Denver's East H.S. team to the national We the People competition in DC! Adults only please. This event is our monthly coalition meeting, there will be no Zoom meeting in March.

• Civics Showcase, March 12th 3:30-5:30, Virtual (Registration required) - We opened up more spots! 
  Do you think civic education needs more support in CO? This session is for you. 
• CO state historian, Susan Schulten, will present a short program on the role Colorado played at the vanguard of the women’s suffrage movement.
• Then, share your perspective on promising practices and barriers to improving civic education in CO. Your opinions will be captured and compiled into a report for state leaders and policymakers.
• You will also explore high-quality civic education opportunities available to educators across Colorado.
