Please join the American Association of Law Library’s Foreign, Comparative & International Law SIS (FCIL-SIS) on June 26, 2025, 10 am-11 am US/Central Time for a presentation by Judy Wairimu Ng’ang’a, recipient of this year’s FCIL-SIS Schaffer Grant. The FCIL-SIS Schaffer Grant promotes the international exchange of information on law librarianship by highlighting one speaker each year, to share their expertise and provide information on law librarianship in countries around the world.

 

This year, Judy Ng’ang’a will give a presentation titled Effective Strategies for E-Resource Management in Academic Law Libraries: A Kenyan Perspective. Judy is the Senior Library Assistant - Systems at the Kenya School of Law in Nairobi, Kenya, where she manages, maintains, and supports the library’s electronic resources and information management systems including its security, discovery tools, and institutional repositories. She has over 10 years of experience working in academic libraries in Kenya and is an active member of the Kenya Library Association and Kenya Library and Information Services Consortium.
