Friends,

The Foreign, Comparative, and International Law Special Interest Section (FCIL-SIS) of the American Association of Law Libraries is accepting applications for the 2027 FCIL Schaffer Grant for Foreign Law Librarians. The Grant subsidizes a foreign law librarian to attend the Annual Meeting & Conference of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL).

The FCIL Schaffer Grant for the 2027 AALL Annual Meeting & Conference (https://www.aallnet.org/conference/about/) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. (17-20 July 2027) provides a waiver of the AALL Annual Meeting & Conference full registration fee and a grant of a maximum $4,000 USD to assist with accommodations and travel costs.

Applicants must be law librarians or other professionals working in the legal information field, currently employed in countries other than the United States, and with significant responsibility for the dissemination, preservation, and/or organization of legal information.

The Chair of the Selection Committee must receive all applications by 9 February 2026. Details regarding the FCIL Schaffer Grant for Foreign Law Librarians and the application procedure and form can be found at: https://www.aallnet.org/fcilsis/awards-grants/fcil-schaffer-grant/.
