Dear All,

I am trying to find the original enactment of the British Columbia Criminal Code provision that appeared as section 605(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-46, which provided:

"605(1) The Attorney General or counsel instructed by him for the purpose may appeal to the Court of Appeal
(a) against a judgment or verdict of acquittal of a trial court in proceedings by indictment on any ground of appeal that involves a question of law alone..."

We have located references to the provision in older cases but have not found the original legislative text in its entirety. I would be most grateful if anyone has a copy and could share it with me.

I would be very grateful for any assistance you can provide.

Have a good weekend.

Kind regards,

Dwaymian M. Brissette (Mr)
