Hello Int Law friends,

I’m trying to track down a copy of the recent decision by the Supreme Court of Panama that rejected a constitutional challenge to Panama’s failure to provide level protect to same-sex couples. There is a press release found here: https://www.organojudicial.gob.pa/noticias/pleno-de-la-csj-declara-que-no-son-inconstitucionales-articulos-del-codigo-de-la-familia

I’ve heard rumors that the decision was released today, but haven’t been able to find it anywhere. Any assistance tracking down the decision and any related separate opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The text Constitution of 1972 deems as common law marriage that between man and woman.

Followers of same-sex marriages have failed to gather enough signatures to start the process for a new Constitution and the majority of opinion polls have rejected such an option.  There cannot be a failure to protect a right that voters have not enshrined in the Constitution.

A copy of the opinion was upload to https://www.4shared.com/s/fdxECegCDfa while the Supreme Courts takes several months to print its opinions.
