Dear all,

Currently we are working on a GreenIT project in which we measure the impact of PWAs on energy efficiency of mobile web apps. In order to investigate this we want to run websites with ServiceWorkers on and off and preferably automate the process. That is, we would like to find a flag that would enable us to turn off ServiceWorkers from a shell so that we can automate it.

Are there any options for that?

Many thanks,
Petar Vukmirovic.

In Chrome there is no built-in flag to disable service workers specifically. But service workers count as "cookies/site data" at chrome://settings/cookies so blocking those disables service worker.
