What is the timeline w.r.t Chromium drops use_goma?  Is Goma already stopped running? It seems like a local Goma service still works with the latest Chromium codebase but not sure when the ball drops. I have made an estimation of more than 4 months to fully migrate my build infra to Reclient, thus I would like to plan ahead.

Hi Xiankang,

We made a public announcement on chromium-dev@ last year September saying that support for Goma will be removed from Chromium’s build beginning of this year, starting end of January:

We’ve already begun making such changes and shutting down our Goma infrastructure. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee how long it will still be possible to reenable use_goma in the build.

If you have any questions about how to migrate your infrastructure to an REAPI compatible backend, I’m happy to share knowledge and discuss on this list. :)
