Hi everyone,

As you all probably know, BBR team bumped the algorithm version number from v2 to v3, as there were some important  bug fixes for v2.

The presentation at IETF 117 mentions that BBRv3  is "under A/B testing for YouTube TCP, YouTube and Google.com QUIC".
However, it seems that QUICHE code has not upgraded the BBR version (yet), and so there is BBRv1 and BBRv2.

Could you, please, describe the current state of BBR v2/v3  in QUICHE ?
Are these bug fixes already present in BBRv2 code ?
Or do you plan to publish them and increase the version number by any chance ?

Thanks!

Most of the fixes are already in the Quiche BBRv2 code, though not all are default enabled yet.  We're working on getting the remaining changes in and then doing a bit more A/B testing before default enabling BBRv3 for QUIC.

I expect there will only be one enum value and class for BBRv2/v3, but naming might change to BBRv3 at some point to align with Neal's terminology.

We'd also like to do another round of client side testing, where BBRv3 is used by Chrome, before default enabling it in the Quiche code.
