Hi there, I’m not sure who was best to contact, but I’m just looking for some advice regarding the Pepper Flash Plugin. I’m planning on releasing an Electron (https://www.electronjs.org/) application that comes with a version of Chromium. I have manually found the Pepper Flash Plugin binaries that currently come with Chrome and have added them to my Electron app. This is to allow for the playing of several Flash games for when Flash is eventually removed from Chrome.

Do you know if I am able to distribute the Pepper Flash Plugin alongside Chromium with my Electron app? The plan is to release this app on the Steam gaming platform.

Best Regards,

Ross

You need to ask Adobe since it's their product.

Adobe seem to support user installs of Flash on Chromium.

However, distributing Flash is another matter, and may require a license (I am not a lawyer).

Also know that Flash and plugins in general are on a deprecation path and will be removed from Chromium.
