Hi! It's time once again for me to request a new linux- release.

This time, it's because the latest one, linux-v18, doesn't build with
newer clangs, because it's too old to include
ddc532c ("generate_constants_json: ignore ptrtoint const_entry").

Thanks in advance!

Jorge: how do you feel about switching to date based tags ?  e.g. tag c1df6baf0b619dd29ae6552d4ee1d149173b309f as v2024.03.04 (4 Apr 2024).

Apologies for the delayed reply. That makes a lot of sense.

i noticed/remembered we're using "linux-v18".  we want to keep that for "linux-v2024.03.04", or drop that too for a basic "v2024.03.04" ?

was the idea that we'd cut tags for Android independently ?

I might have done that so the Android folks would let us push the tags directly to their repo (i.e. they had to have a clear non-Android tag name.)

I don't think that's the case, I think they just wanted a clear distinction between the regular Android tags and our release tags.

okidoki, kept the linux- prefix then

couldn't figure out how to add notes in the Gerrit UI, and i'm too lazy to filter through ~150 commits since our last release.
