All,

The agenda for the 2025-05-19 MessageFormat Working Group teleconference has been updated.

You can find it here:

Behold the agenda:

Topic: Info Share, Project Planning

Topic: PR Review

Timeboxed review of items ready for merge.

PR Description Recommendation
#1073 Change :math to :offset and remove draft status Discuss, Merge
#1068 Design document for percent formatting Merge
#1067 Semantic skeletons design Discuss
#1065 Draft new charter and goals for v49/v50 and beyond Discuss, Agenda+

Topic: :offset function (was :math)

In the previous call, we decided to rename :math to :offset and make it focus on the MF1 plural offset use case. Addison created a PR (#1073) to this effect. The name of the function, the options, and the effect (if any) on the resolved value of the operand are not yet consensus.

NOTE: This will be the first normative change (addition of) a default function. We should also discuss the process, including whether to ballot.

Topic: Working Group Charter and Goals

The proposed working group charter and proposed goals have been available for a few weeks. Let’s finalize these for submission to the TC.

Topic: Semantic Skeletons

Let’s discuss next steps in completing the design.

Internationalization is not a feature.
It is an architecture.
