We'll be skipping next week's meeting due to conflicts for a number of our regular participants. The week after that (on 2025-08-04), we'll aim to wrap up any remaining spec changes that ought to make it into the upcoming CLDR/LDML 48 release.
At this week's meeting we managed to merge or close all of our current PRs, so if there are any changes you'd like to include in this fall's release, getting PRs for them submitted ASAP would be a Good Idea. On the call, we did
discuss a few potential updates to the
Date and Time Override Options that could be included:
- Requiring hour12 to only support literal values
- Requiring calendar to only support literal values
- Considering an alternative name for hour12
We didn't really reach a strong consensus for any of the above, so if You would like any such change to proceed, a PR would be welcome. The datetime functions are being kept at Draft overall for now (due to semantic skeletons being only at Tech Preview), so later changes are still possible.
At the next meeting we'll go over any PRs submitted between now and then, and then review the
remaining issues marked for LDML 48. Note the switch from using labels to milestones for releases.
Besides introducing milestones, I've done a bunch of other repo cleanup, including some permission cleanup. If you think I've reduced your permissions in error, please do get in touch. Do note that your membership and participation in the working group is in no way indicated by the repo access level on GitHub.
