Hi all,

There have been a great many posts recently that are spam. Unfortunately, for some reason (which we are attempting to debug), banning the user doesn't seem to work.

In the meantime, I have changed the group's posting policies from "anyone on the web can post" to "only group members can post".

Anyone on the web is allowed to become a member without needing permission, so this doesn't create too much of a hurdle, I hope, but perhaps it'll be enough to stop the traffic. If it isn't, I will restrict group membership as well.

I hope both of these steps will only be temporarily necessary while we are debugging the issue internally.

Thanks and sorry in advance,

Thanks for fighting spam! Unfortunately, this seems necessary..
