I use Chrome with several Google accounts in the same browser session because Chrome profiles are not practical for my workflow. I work with many tab groups, open projects and institutional accounts at the same time, and switching between separate Chrome profiles disrupts my tabs, windows and workspace organization.

The current Google multi-account system assigns accounts internally as u/0, u/1, u/2 or authuser=0, authuser=1, authuser=2 depending mainly on sign-in order. When an account requires reauthentication or when a new account is added, the order can become difficult to manage. This creates problems in Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Forms, Meet and third-party authorization flows, where the wrong account may be selected by default.

The only reliable workaround is to sign out of all accounts and sign back in one by one in the desired order. This is very inefficient for users who manage many personal, academic, professional or organizational Google accounts.

Please consider adding a feature that allows users to manually reorder signed-in Google accounts within the account switcher, pin a preferred order, and choose default accounts per Google service or per tab group. This would be especially useful for users who deliberately work from one Chrome profile with many tab groups and do not want to split their workflow across multiple Chrome profiles.
