Works, but still opens a single empty window. http://imgur.com/a/JSyr2

Also, noticed the launch bug for the headless feature is private: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=705916

OSX ? I was experiencing that before. With Chrome Canary (v.59) the behavior has changed and now I only get the Chrome yellow icon showing up in the taskbar. You may want to give it a try.

On Windows. Tried Canary (v60) and just built from source, same thing.

Hey Charles,
the CL that enables full Windows functionality hasn't landed yet: https://codereview.chromium.org/2762593002/
It is pending on getting launch approval on all platforms: https://www.chromestatus.com/features/5678767817097216
Hopefully this is resolved this week and I can land the patch.

Gotcha. Is there a reason the launch bug is restricted?

+Sami Kyostila. I'm not really sure, Sami created the bug.

Hello All,

I'm trying to open chrome V59  from selenium by setting headless on from Linux machine, but it results in single empty window here as well.

Selenium support is still being worked on, the tracking bug is here.

Even if I try from CL, empty white page is displayed. when I checked network log, it says Request is not finished yet.

Do I miss any configuration here?

Could you let us know what command you're running exactly? I tested the following on TOT with a Linux machine locally, without issues:
chrome --headless --remote-debugging-port=9222 http://wikipedia.org/

google-chrome-unstable --headless --disable-gpu --remote-debugging-port=9222 http://google.com/

without --disable-gpu arg getting an error as follows,

browser_gpu_channel_factory.cc(104) failed to launch GPU process

Let me try to open up the launch bug -- not sure why it ended being private. The summary is that the launch has now been approved! \o/

Please file a bug if you're seeing rendering errors on Windows (or any other platform).
