Try to run docker image of chrome-headless as provided by Justin on macOS

Hi Justin, Kevin,

I am trying to run the docker image of  chrome-headless as provided by Justin on macOS. I am new to Docker and unsure about how to run chrome-headless-docker-image with the UI.

My questions are:

1. Do I need to run chrome-headless docker image on a full Ubuntu desktop machine to see the UI?

2. Is there a way to do the same on MacOS?

3. Do you run yours on Ubuntu, or MacOS, or Windows?

I run on Ubuntu.. once the port is forwarded just go to localhost:9222

I have no advise regarding MacOS though.

No. The container doesn't have a UI; it simply binds locally to localhost:9222 which you can access in Chrome.

You can run the container on MacOS. If you've installed current version of Docker for Mac, you can simply run on the command line to install:

docker pull justinribeiro/chrome-headless

Then run as normal (in this case, bound to localhost:9222 and run in the background)

docker run -d -p 9222:9222 justinribeiro/chrome-headless

I test the container on various Linux's and MacOS. Windows is on my list to add to testing.
