viz stands for what?

Hi, I just noticed that there is a new component named viz, it is at here: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src.git/+/master/components/viz//

Do you known viz means what? Thanks!

It stands for visuals. One of our big goals is combining the existing gpu code plus existing compositing and hit testing code into a single service. None of "gpu", "compositor", "cc", etc. really captures the full scope of the new service so we picked a new name based on what it will handle.
