hi

when it comes to hardware accelerated html5 avc does google chrome use dxva2 native or dxva2 copy-back ?

or is both possible ? if so is there a way to influence that behaviour ?

thanks

We use the MFT on supported platforms and DXVA on older ones. The behavior in older cases is a copy-back style approach, but jbauman@ has recently added code to avoid these copies in some cases.

Thanks very much !

Does any kind of a copy-back take place if MFT is being used ?

No, the data essentially always stays on the GPU if we're using the MFT.
