FAFT test escape?

This post sounds like a FAFT test escape. I know that FAFT used to
test for power button with the lid closed. The firmware should cause
a shutdown.

I'm not sure that we have such a test, though we do have a test where we power on, close the lid at the dev screen, and verify the unit powered off.

Probably the correct behavior in the described scenario is to boot if an external display is attached, but otherwise power down.
