I'm trying to run faft_bios with R51 release. My ubuntu freeze at random test step. Is anyone facing this kind of issue?

I've tried reinstall ubuntu and repo_sync to the head version of the ToT branch.

any advise?

There is known problem with USB connect disconnect on Ubuntu kernel 85.  What kernel version are you using ? (uname -r)
We are currently using 79 or older kernel.

Your version is totally different then mine so I can't compare. A few question
1- does this work before
2- do you have a OS/kernel update recently, if so, can you try boot to that version and run faft bios
3- was there an kernel crash or your message log contain any USB related logline
4- which faft_bios was running when your system freezes

Beside faft_bios, I assume your system works fine ?

Would you please use post your "uname -r"?

3.13.0-76-generic

Sorry. Typo.

The "Firmware_Setup" is "firmware_FAFTSetup". It's the very first test of FAFT.

My system works fine besides faft_bios.

Most likely kernel related, I would search and see if other have seen the same problem using your kernel and or downgrade if needed.
