Hello,

Should a third-party Origin-Trial enable Email Verification Protocol autofill on the embedder document?

We receive an "Application Success" status from the app.optipub.com/elements.js injection, but autofill only activates when using a first-party Origin-Trial response header.

Hi Kyle,

For the 3P OT token, when it's registered under app.optipub.com, the script must programmatically inject the token on some-other-website.com that embeds the JavaScript. Would that solve the issue? See https://developer.chrome.com/docs/web-platform/third-party-origin-trials for more information.

Hello! Thank you for the reply! 

Yeah so I have the third party key injected by app.optipub.com/js/elements/elements.js (creating the meta tag) with the third party key. I confirm in dev tools/origin trials that it shows 'enabled' 



But, when autofilling, no network activity/no pop up.

If i keep the exact same setup, but replace the meta tag origin trial (with 3rd party) with a first party key for optipub.com as Origin-Trial, it works as expected.

Any chance you can take a peek and tell me if you see any glaring issues? I've been trying to figure it out the last few days and stomped :melting:

Thanks for reporting this issue. On further investigation we found a bug in Chrome's implementation. We will work on a fix and report back.
