Hello,
I experience persistent connectivity problems, and when I run a Chromebook Diagnostics connectivity test the panel often shows warnings related to Android Apps.
Local Network: Can't contact the gateway from Android Apps
Name Resolution: Can't resolve DNS from Android apps
Internet Connectivity: Can't connect through firewall to HTTP websites from Android apps
Other errors may be:
Internet Connectivity: High latency to HTTPS websites

I connect to the internet through Ethernet to a Cox Cable Modem using a 50x10MBPS service (at least that is what the bill indicates), but every day I experience slow internet speed, for example, a 3-line Google doc will take five minutes to fully load, or a 14KB spreadsheet takes about 7 minutes to load, these are averages. Again, this is almost a permanent condition.
My setup is quite simple, cable modem with Internet service as described before, Ethernet to USB-C cable adapter and the Chromebook. The modem is the most basic thing, it has no wireless connectivity features of any kind.
I have never connected an Android phone to this Chromebook. I only have used the Ethernet connection I described before. I have removed most apps from the Chromebook, and I have not installed anything that did not come with it when I bought it.
The Chromebook version 114.0.5735.119 (Official Build) (64-bit), and the following apps installed:

So, could I get some feedback?
- Why if I have never connected this Chromebook to an Android phone, apps from Android are the most recurring problem?
- What is the meaning of "Can't contact the gateway from Android Apps"?
- What is the meaning of "Can't resolve DNS from Android apps"?
- What is the meaning of "Can't connect through firewall to HTTP websites from Android apps"?
- From the previous question, what firewall is this message referring to?
