I normally keep the box (or at least the vital information pane) for any new computers I may buy in a safe place.  Sadly, my roommate thought my Acer c720 box was "trash" and now it's gone. That was a couple months ago.

And, just my luck, my chromebook was stolen out of my vehicle last week.

So, in order to make a complete report for police and to attempt to alert local pawn shops, I am trying to locate my serial number from my chromebook without actually having it in hand. Any help or advice is much appreciated.

1. I have my recovery USB I made when I first got my chromebook.
2. I tied the chromebook to my gmail account (and even received the 100GB google drive promotion).
3. The chromebook is still listed in my devices but, for whatever reason, it does not list a serial number.

I have tried to call Google for assistance but got absolutely no help whatsoever.

Any advice or help is much appreciated.

Fortium : As far as I can see, you have done everything possible, and I am afraid you are out of luck. Even the chrome://system report won't return a serial number.
