I can't get my Raspberry Pi 3B running ChromiumOS R77 to successfully enroll in my G Suite Enterprise. When I boot it up and login to the Enterprise Enrollment section, I see this error:
Oops! The system failed to determine device identifiers for this device.

Is there any way to make this work? We have about 30 Raspberry Pi's running our digital signage (using FullpageOS), and converting them over to ChromeOS devices (which we can manage through our G Suite admin console) would be a miracle.

Hi Luke,

In r77r2 release, we've added support for vpd, so device identifier can now be passed therefore your 30 Pis should be able to enrol to Google Chrome device management console, if you have enough active licenses.

Hope this can help someone else who needs this too.

That's great news! However, I just tried it, and am still seeing a similar error:
Oops! The system failed to determine device model or serial number.

Is there something else I need to be doing? Besides just writing the img file to an SD card, then slotting it into a Pi and booting it up, then attempting the enterprise enrollment?

Try these instructions for creating/setting a serial number:

Thanks @Brian for chipping in.

@Luke, the release notes stated that in order to let the vpd and serial number to work properly, you'd need to at least reboot once after booting into the UI.

Give it a try please, if still no joy please create an issue on the project page. Thanks.

Hello,
I actually know the fix in this case. The installation process is a bit different than normal. Let me try to write a script to fix this for you in a bit
