I was able to run the Chromium OS, connect to wifi, but the displaying was wrong. You can see it in the video. VIDEO

Any idea? :-)

Its going to be a pain in the buns, but try that one, just try it the normal way, and if it dosent work he gives you a little something to do.

Once loaded, I’m not expecting the graphics to work immediately since xorg.conf will be read only so the auto detect features may not work. So the initial boot screen may well still fail but [Crtl-Alt-F2] should get you to command prompt

To potentially remedy, once logged in, issue the following:

1
2
3
4
5
sudo su
mount -o remount, rw /
Xorg -configure
cp /root/xorg.conf.new /etc/X11/xorg.conf
reboot

The pray to the Gods of Graphics for goodness to occur.

Hi, thx for answer. But this build is outdated. I know about it. And yes, I am able to go to command prompt via CTRL+ALT+F2.

I have tried:
ChromeOS-Vanilla-4028.0.2013_04_20_1810-r706c4144 - stop on "verifying DMI pool data"
ChromeOS-Lime-2237.0.2012_07_08_1610-rccf8f959  - stop on "verifying DMI pool data"
Project Swift  - stop on "verifying DMI pool data"
Arnoldthebat distribution: Cx86OS-20141204010101.img.7z 319740KB Dec 04 2014 02:05:36 AM - "boot but still same problem with the displaying".
Arnoldthebat distribution: Cx86OS_R41-6500.0-Special  - stop on "verifying DMI pool data"
Arnoldthebat distribution: Cx86OS_R34-5196_Multi_2  - stop on "verifying DMI pool data"

I am interested in this OS. There must be way to run it on my hardware. :-)

Can anyone give me best guide to learn how to build my own build, or how to modify existing builds. How to add hardware support? I prefer something step by step with examples.

Thx for all

P.

Hi!
AFAIK Arnoldthebat's builds do not have nouveau.ko kernel module (while still having x.org driver). This might be the root reason.

Did you find solution?

No, I have founded nothing. I am going to buy an old notebook to run Chromium OS. I prefer Arnoldthebat´s builds because it is still updated. And easy to use. Than create my own.
