Hello,
When the lid is closed my HP Chromebook, which I keep on my nightstand starts blinking. This is extremely annoying, is there a way to disable it? It does not blink if I sign out before closing the lid, which means it is controlled by the software...

Thanks.

sorry, but I don't think any of those LEDs are customizable

I tend to keep black nail polish around to mute/disable LEDs that aren't useful to me

the blinking means that it is suspended.  If you sign out first, then the machine is shutting down instead.  I think to eliminate the blinking you may need a to create a custom EC firmware, so it is non-trivial.

Try using Bright LED Shades.  It's a reusable plastic tabs that you can customize to any shape and place over offending LED to cut glare 50-60%.  Use 2 layers to really dim LED.  I have them everywhere in my house, on my alarm clock, TVs, DVRs. http://www.brightledshades.com/  You can still see the display but without the annoying glare.

No "disclaimer: this is my own product I'm trying to sell to you"?
