Some of us are also trying to determine why that option is not available on some devices.

I don't know if it's an architecture (x86_64 / ARM) issue or a kernel version (kernelnext uprev) issue or something else.

We are getting topics in the Chromebook Help forum about this too so it would be great to get an authoritative response.

Is it possible that you have the primary user on the Chromebook a
enterprise user? As I believe the android adb access feature is not
supported for users in customers of Google business/enterprise
accounts.

As far as I know ChromiumOS does not have support for the Android
runtime so would then not have the option to use adb to connect from
the linux container.

I was able to enable it by going to the settings page with a direct url

chrome://os-settings/crostini/androidAdb
