Using Cx86OS-20170517010101 on a Sandisk 8GB.
Boots to a white screen with a blue logo and "Chromium", hangs indefinitely.

I have tried Cx86OS-20170515010102 and Cx86OS-20170513010102 as well, same problem.

Does anyone have any advice?
PC is pretty standard intel i5 affair.

How long did you wait?

Sometimes when booting from USB it inexplicably takes quite a while to boot, but it does eventually boot.

If all you want to do is install your image, you can press Ctrl + Alt + F2 to switch to the terminal, log in, and run the install script even when you're in this state. I've done this before and the install proceeds fine.

Thanks for the reply,

I have waited 10mins or so, I thought that would be more than enough, but maybe I should wait longer?

I just tried holding Ctrl+alt+f12 but nothing happened, I don't get the log or terminal. That means it is frozen right?

Hi Simon , its F2 not F12 for the terminal.

It could be a graphics issue, are you using the integrated GPU on your i5? If so what generation i5 is it?

Sorry that was a typo, I meant F2.

I am using a GTX760 Nvidia card. My monitor doesn't take VGA so I can't try the integrated graphics.

The standard chromium OS doesn't support most nvidia cards out of the box.

You could try flint OS , Arnold the bat or neverwares builds.

I know Flint OS works on the nvidia 600 series as that's what I currently use.

Oh I didn't know Nvidia cards aren't supported, thanks for that.

I will try Flint OS.

Running Flint OS right now, working well :)

Resolution: Chromium OS doesn't support Nvidia drivers, Flint OS (built on Chromium OS) does.

Thanks to Will.

it isn't that CrOS doesn't want to support them, it's that people haven't submitted changes to do so ;)
