Good day all.
It was suggested I repost this query here so here's hoping.
I have a multiwii controller and I am wanting to use baseflight.
When I start baseflight it needs to connect via usb but fails. I assume I need to add a driver (CP210x).
On Google Chrome OS , how do I install the Silabs CP210x driver to communicate with the Multiwii via a usb cable.

Thanks
Ian.

the USB_SERIAL_CP210X driver is already enabled in every shipping kernel and has been for over a year.  it should "just work" when you plug in the USB device.

Thanks for help Mike.
I only see /dev/ttyACM0 in the port dropdownlist.
Is there something else I need to do to show the USB Serial port ?

Thanks
Ian

I gather that the serial port is ACM0 but still no joy. Any advice.
Thanks Ian

most likely ACM0 is the USB device.  it'd be pretty easy to tell -- unplug the USB device and then try to list the ports again.  if it disappears, then that's the port, and the driver is up and running.

unfortunately, if the ACM0 is your device, but it doesn't seem to be working, triaging bugs in these drivers is left up to the community.  very few of the additional USB drivers we ship as modules we directly support.  they're largely there because they're easy to include and power users find them useful.
