force update chromebook pixel 2013?

I know my way around computers but I am not tech savvy.

I was wondering if there is a way to force update my chromebook pixel 2013? I received a message saying that I would no longer receive software updates because my device is at "end of life"

My main concern for this is that I can't use streaming services like Netflix and Hulu anymore because of a "browser no longer supported" error.

I don't use my laptop for much these days but would like to be able to stream on it since it seems more that capable of doing so.

If there isn't a way to force my chromebook to update, is there a way to get around this "browser not supported" error?

If anyone can offer any help on this subject it would be greatly appreciated.

unfortunately, not really

you might be able to switch to dev mode and install crouton and run a newer chrome there

You can also opt to manually install a Cloudready image (from Neverware.com).
