Good Morning,
ChromiumOS does not include the Google Play Store, that is a key difference between ChromiumOS and ChromeOS. If memory serves me right, the Dell Chromebook 11 3120 is a 2105 model and the Play Store was only promised to most 2016 and later models.

D,

Your Dell Chromebook 11 (3120) will get it since it's listed as 'planned' on the 'official' site: Chrome OS Systems Supporting Android Apps
However, I don't believe we'll get any advanced notice other than it rolling out to the dev & beta channels first.

When I bought my dell 3120 the Chrome website said it would get Google Play by the end of 2016!! It was on that basis I bought it rather than any alternative. As I live in the UK I am really tempted to bring a case as this is mis-representation and under the UK Consumer Rights Act the computer has been mis sold and is not fit for purpose. It seems typical that Dell and especially Google think they are above any law

Where did it say this, I do not recall any models specifically being announced. The wording was simply something around the lines of "select devices released in 2017 and beyond" - with a link to the device list.

If you search the Internet and links for 2015/16 and the 3120 you will see links to the android forum where all the chromebooks are listed and the 3120 was then listed as being upgraded to allow Play by the end of 2016. Subsequently this was changed to a vague 'planned'

I have to apoligize to Kelvin, I mistook you for someone else who was asking about a Chromebook that was not listed on that page when I wrote my response.

Planned means it is coming eventually, no date was given but I am honestly shocked it has taken so long. There could be many reasons for it taking so long but I am not qualified to speak to what those may be.

I'm checking this out right now. I just switched the the developer channel on my 3120, and still no Android apps for it as of December 14, 2018. It's not in Stable, Beta, or Dev. So disappointing.
