Hi guys, 2 weeks ago my First Edition Chromebook came back to life - that's another story- since it reaches its EOL I have been searching for OS alternatives to install and I found ArchLinux is one of them, so after follow these tutos:

my SD Card seems to be ready but I can't boot from it, after press Ctrl+U it seems to try to boot but a beep comes up and that's all.

so, my questions are:
1. any chance to diagnostic why I can't boot from my SD-Card? is it possible to load a console from the splash screen?
2. do I have another OS alternatives than ArchLinux? I read in this group good comments about fydeOS but it seems to require an USB Pen Drive, I'm not sure if I can use it on Developer Mode like the SD Card?
3. any links about what should be the best path to follow?

Thanks a lot you guys.

well, unfortunately it's the same situation, take a look at these pics:

from the above picture I have one question: why Microsoft basic data? as a matter of fact this part was formatted as ext4, the istro I'm trying to use in ArchLinux, after extend it in the USB is the only possibility that the partition changed its file type, is this normal?

This is the command I'm using to enable boot from USB:

any recommendations? what other AM based distro should I use?

Thanks a lot

SD card doesn't work at all. Use USB flash drive instead
