Hay I'm Nicholas the University Graduate and I'll be getting a Chrome OS Desktop from Cincinnati Computer Reuse in about 2 weeks and I wondered if there was community surrounding this OS since it's on the Linux Operating System as I was told and I think that's true ... I'm mostly going to be using it for email and using GIMP ... is you a friendly bunch? I was going to use my Wacom Tablet to draw on GIMP and practice my digital work flow ... do you much work with creative software? I don't know what else to do with a computer other than use creative software but I know something about programming and I was thinking I would try and code a baseball game for the Google Chrome Store ... i was figuring if this works out i'll join the Google Team ... i'm a typical windows user looking for something more ... hello

No we grumpy bunch - just kidding of course we are friendly but ensure you do you research using copilot or just reading up before asking trouble issues. Linux works great with gimp once you install full linux tools....
you should be able to just a sudo apt-get install gimp3 after you get penguin all setup. you may also like to keep it all updating using:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y && sudo apt-get autoremove -y && sudo apt-get autoclean -y && sudo sync && sudo sync

would you recommend a book like send a link on linux commands I've only ever used GUI's before like the apple or windows interface ... i never used the terminal or git only git hub and the git hub desktop gui I've just never used a terminal before ... is there a book you would recommend?
