Hello people,

Does anyone have any idea as to when an update will be released for my acer c730 chromebook whereby i will be able to use android apps on the device?

Many thanks to any useful responses!

I guess nobody knows then when the official update will be available. Pretty poor communication from the chrome crew. This article outlined the changes. https://sites.google.com/a/chromium.org/dev/chromium-os/chrome-os-systems-supporting-android-apps

I'm still waiting to get it on my Acer Chromebook 11 CB3-131 i've been waiting since before christmas and still nothing the amount of updates i do and still can't get onto it. I'm really regretting getting a chromebook and should have got something else.

Kerrylea : The problem isn't that you bought a Chromebook, but that you bought the wrong Chromebook. I picked up a Samsung Chromebook Plus at Best Buy 2 months ago for $350, and Android apps just fine on it. The C730 was released in 2014, and I suspect that the older the model, the longer it will take for Android support. I have a 2013 Pixel, which has a touch screen, but will never support Android. I am OK with that.
