Hello, I'm Hamid, a enthusias tech community.

Sorry before I asking in not right place, but I really wonder, is Google allowing us using Chrome OS in another PC with brunch project from github and cros update server recovery?

I asking that because, I know Chrome OS is Proprietary intellectual who have legality on law and government.

I just wonder, is Google allowing us using that even without buying specific Chromebook device.

Hopefully I hear good news,

Thanks before.

Sincerely,
Hamid.

sorry, but you'll never get legal advice like that here (which i guess you can see from no responses)

just use Chromium OS, or try out Neverware

Hi Mike,
I got feedback from chipset vendor that Google is controlling Chrome OS licensee even stricter than the Android TV OS.

I was wondering if Chrome OS/Chromium/CloudReady(any of them) would be support cheap ARM chipset like Rockchip, Amlogic or Allwinner. Since I see Rockchip RK3288 chipset is used for Chromebit product with official Chrome OS, I believe technically it shall be doable.

Are you aware of any?

There have been Rockchip 3288 devices, 3399 devices, Nvidia Tegra devices, Mediatek devices, all of which are ARM based. The bootloader setup is slightly different than the x86_64 boards but there is no reason they shouldn't be supported by projects building Chromium OS other than maybe missing overlays.

What about removing -@CHROMOS on ACCEPTING_LICENSE when I build Chromium OS?
Is that also using Chrome OS? or just using some of Chrome OS packages?
