I've been attempting to use symlinks to redirect netflix downloads to my SD Card

I've put a symlink called .of (the folder netflix uses for downloads) in the following path:

/opt/google/containers/android/rootfs/android-data/data/media/0/Android/data/com.netflix.mediaclient/files/Download

The target is my sd card.  The symlink creates just fine and the target is copy of the original file.

Netflix attempts the download but doesn't start and returns error DLST.N135

Is there some other file i need to look at... i'm stumped
