chrome://flags is a blank page

Hi,

  I compiled my own copy of chromium os and flashed it to a usb stick. 

 Then I booted from usb, everything works fine, except when I try to change some flags in chrome://flags, the page is blank.

  My guess is you have to install it to a hard drive to make chrome://flags available. Is that right?

  But for test purpose, I only want to try out the latest flags on usb without installing it to the hard drive.  

  So, how do I make chromium os believe it is booted from a hard drive and allow me to open chrome://flags on a usb stick?

When you built the image did you turn off rootfs verification?

./build_image --board=${BOARD} --noenable_rootfs_verification

I don't see any flags for Chromium OS, but I'm assuming that the flags for Chrome OS also apply for Chromium?

Understood that this is an old question to be dug out, but we found that incognito mode could solve blank chrome://flags problem - in case this could help anyone.
