Hello,
I am trying to understand the steps required to integrate our own hardware accelrated gpu instead of software GL path uses by chromium os. Please tell me if anyone have  idea?

thanks

Check media-libs/mesa. You would have to add your GPU card to the list of VIDEO_CARDS and build accordingly.

Thanks giri for your reply.

But i am looking in prospective of arm not for the desktop x86 environment.

Hi Sai,

That depends on the ARM gpu
For instance for the VideoCore GPU, you have this http://www.jvcref.com/files/PI/documentation/html/index.html#example

you might have to develop this capability in the chromeos-chrome, i.e. the browser.

Not sure if this is what you wanted.

Hi Giri,
The example talks about multimedia (video encoder/decoder) but not GPU

i am specifically looking for gpu hardware acceleration path  integrate to chromium os. Currently chroimum os might not use gpu hardware acceleration if i am correct.

thanks
sai

chrome://gpu to get the list of features enabled.

chrome://flags to enable/disable them.
