So I want to use chromium, but I don't want to get rid of Windows 7, and I don't want to have to use a usb all the time. Is there some way to dual boot Chromium and Windows 7?

Check ChromeOS.Hexxeh.net to see if he has instructions. If you do not find the answer there, search the chromium is discuss group. The question has been answered before, but I cannot remember any links.

Here is one that has good info in it.

If you search around on Google a bit you'll also find there's been some recent rumblings about dual booting being made a more accessible option for people. Memory serving, the articles almost exclusively discuss this potential with respect to dual booting Android and ChromeOS, which is great though may have different uses from what you're wanting from 7 and ChromeOS.

Scotch - Depending on your laptop, if it has an SD card slot and the BIOS supports booting from it, then you might be able to carry around a 16GB SD card with a ChromiumOS build on it.   When you want to boot windows, you can pop the SD card out about 2mm and reboot.   It's better than having a big USB stick hanging out.

This worked well for me on a Thinkpad x201, but it didn't work on an x220 (because the BIOS wouldn't allow booting an OS from SD).
