Hi,

this is my first question here, I have a new chrome book since yesterday. I'm using two google e-mail accounts for this chrome book and it works fine. I also want to use a mailbox that is not managed by Google. With my Androids this works fine in Gmail for several years but here Gmail does not allow me, to add the "non Google" mailbox.

Do I have to install another E-Mail client?

Thanks in advance and greetings from Austria

Martin

Martin,

Have you checked out the gMail 'settings -> accounts -> Check mail from other accounts' dialogue?

You can install a email client in the play store or in Linux if you really want to use a client instead of the web interface.

The Gmail Android app allows for other accounts, in the Gmail web client you would use a Google account to check the non Google accounts via POP3.
