I have one of these, and I'm waiting (im)patiently for it to be supported for Android apps. Instead of waiting, I was wondering how I could help make it so. I wouldn't mind testing on my 3120 or anything else that might be needed. How can I help?

Hello,
There is really no way to force this. I know that Android support is planned for the 3120 according to the official list - https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/chrome-os-systems-supporting-android-apps . If you want to be one of the first to test this, you could put your device onto the canary channel but be prepared for a lot of updates, many may be unstable. We are not sure when it will eventually land on units.

Yes be 'careful' about the 'canary stuff', it updates every one or two
days, plus there are strange things happening with it, and it's
normal, it's a daily stuff. for example, I'm on a, acer cb5-311, and
the file manager 'remove the options de rename files on the sdcard',
when I move out of the 'stable version'. So it's up to you.
Android apps is really about Google Dvpt, there is really few things,
that we can do.

You must watch the https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/chrome-os-systems-supporting-android-apps to see when Android app support has been added. Only when support shows up as available in Canary should you need to switch to Canary. At this point, Android support is available in the Stable channel for any platform not listed as planned. Not that it can't still happen, but I wouldn't put a lot of hope in it coming to those still listed as planned.

If it is listed as planned, then it is indeed planned. It does not mention a date as to when it will happen but it is safe to say it will happen eventually. If you really need Android support, it may not be a bad idea to upgrade to a later model Chromebook - keep in mind that many units on the "Planned" section were never advertised to come with Android support when the device went on sale in the first place so it is really a bonus that they were even considered for Android support.

Try FydeOS on a Dell Chomebook 11 3120, which will try to run Android OS in a Chromium OS based environment. It will try, but it will fail.

It's probably a hint as to why we don't have it on Chrome OS yet.

I truly do hope you are correct but I have heard that "The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry." ;-)
I'm sure the devs have every intention of making it happen, let's just hope nothing prevents it and it will.
