Hi all,
Currently, to write accented uppercase characters on a AZERTY keyboard, you have the choice to use unicode
À : Ctrl-Shift-U then 00C0
Ç : Ctrl-Shift-U then 00C7
É : Ctrl-Shift-U then 00C9
Ê : Ctrl-Shift-U then 00CA
....
Not very useable.
The second choice is to use an UTF8 extension, and to manually pick the accented characters. Not very quick
I daily use linux systems and the keyboard is'nt settle this way.
To write "À" you press caps lock then the "à" key , É with caps lock then "é" key, È Ç Ù , etc
I guess that if it works with linux it should works with chromebook
Could it be possible to change the keyboard mapping for the AZERTY users? I know there is no caps lock key but the alt + search shortcut could ease a little
This would be very useful for these users who have to comply with high level spelling
Thanks
