As Google is going to merge Android with ChromeOS in the near future, what will be the future of ChromeOS Flex?? Google has a history of abandoning projects and I would hate it if they simply abandon ChromeOS Flex. I have been using ChromeOS Flex since 2021 and I would hate to return to windows if they remove ChromeOS Flex.

From talking to Google directly all this means is a common Linux core for ChromeOS/Android. So an under the hood change to aid development not a big change for ChromeOS.So no impact on Flex really other than it will share the same updates.

TL;DR - They are just going to share the same codebase, which will there be commonality in the development of both OSes. There's already portions of Android in chromeOS, this is just unifying everything into one common system.

I was worried about Google rejecting chromeOS Flex, because I am really used to this OS, I'm glad to know that they will continue this OS. Thank you for letting me know.
