I've tried searching for how to remove this annoying bar, without luck.  I've check, what I believe, all the settings we have available to us.  How do i remove this annoying blue transparent overlay on the right side of the screen?

sorry, but your description doesn't match anything i'm aware of.  maybe take a screenshot to show what it is you're talking about ?

you might want to look at the extensions you have installed too and disable them all to see if it's those.

Are you sure this is not a hardware issue with your LED Panel? Have you tried it on any other monitors?

looks like a hardware failure.  you should contact a Chromebook Ninja to help triage, and if that doesn't work out, the manufacturer of the devices (ASUS/Acer/HP/whoever) for a possible RMA (if it is actually a hardware defect covered by warranty).

i was thinking that, but it doesn't seem to turn gui menu and assets blue.. like the shelf or the - [] x icons .. i'll rummage through my stuff for another hdmi or dvi cable.   the blue bar doesn't follow the rotation if i rotate the screen.. very odd.. hopefully its the cable, thank you.

Tried another HDMI cable, same issue.  Tried using different monitor with same issue, tried plugging another computer up to suspect monitor with each cable, works fine.

As it appears now, perhaps it a driver issue or hardware issue, but I'm without a dvi cable, I'll borrow one from work Monday.  If that doesn't work eh, reformat.

Possibly an issue with your graphics card (or integrated graphics) That would explain why it happens with external monitors too.
