Check for update goes to 100% then says "Your Chromebook is up to date"

I clicked the Check for updates and I get an updating your device. It gets to 100% and churns for another couple of minutes and then goes to "Your Chromebook is up to date". If I refresh the page, I can click on Check for updates, and it goes through the process again. I am on Canary and was expecting an update today. Is this an issue?

try to run the update-engine from the shell so you prehaps gets the info..

Thanks for that. I went Googling for that and a few seconds later, there was your response. 
I ended up with 
Update failed, current operation is UPDATE_STATUS_IDLE, last error code is ErrorCode::kPostinstallRunnerError(5)

maybe the chromeos image the updater trys to download are corupt?
