Switching back to Beta channel

I moved to Dev channel and when trying to go back to the Beta channel
it is not doing the trick. Any reason? How to do it?

When you switch to the beta channel, the autoupdater compares your
version of Chrome OS to the latest version on the server. Since your
current version is dev, it thinks you're up to date and doesn't update
you. (This is also a bit more complicated since things like the way
your data is saved on the disk might change between dev and beta, and
there's no easy way to "downgrade" it).

You can either switch to beta and wait until beta passes your current
dev build, or, if you're more desperate, wipe the machine.
