Hello All,
I have recently installed ChrUbuntu on my Lenovo C720 Chromebook. I used this tutorial. Link: http://www.linux.com/learn/tutorials/764181-how-to-install-linux-on-an-acer-c720-chromebook
The only thing I did differently was that before I did the installation, I ran this code in root: "chromeos-firmwareupdate --mode=todev" <-----This was to try and update the gtx because some users found that as a possible fix for my problem. Well I went through the above tutorial (not for Bodhi) and got to the point where I should either press Ctrl + D for Chrome or Ctrl + L for ChrUbuntu. Whenever I try pressing Ctrl + L, the result is two loud beeps that come out of the computer. I have absolutely no idea where I went wrong because I did exactly what the tutorial told me to do. The one thing that was weird was that it never asked me to check anything for GRUB, but some people said it worked even though that didn't come up for them. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

- Charlie

Also, if this isn't the best place to ask, any referrals would be much appreciated.

we didn't write that tutorial, so can't really comment on it.  my guess is you blew away the SeaBIOS partition though.  please read this doc:
