puppeteer on Chrome!

Hi,

I am new to puppeteer on chromebook and need some help.

Issue: ‘npm init’ does not create dependencies as puppeteer

hence not able to lunch chrome and error as follows: 

localhost /usr/local/lib/node_modules/puppeteer # node test.js
(node:19830) UnhandledPromiseRejectionWarning: Error: Failed to launch chrome!
/usr/local/lib/node_modules/puppeteer/.local-chromium/linux-674921/chrome-linux/chrome: error while loading shared libraries: libX11.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Would you pls suggest some email-list to ask this question, pls?

are you using Crostini or are you in dev mode and running directly in the shell ?

I am using dev mode and running puppeteer/js directly in the shell.
This is run some browser test.

unfortunately that's unlikely to work or be worth your time making it work.  CrOS doesn't use X, so we don't ship any X11 libs, nor do we provide binpkgs to install them.

it would be easier to use Crouton (for older devices) or Crostini (for newer systems) where you can install X libs and have an X<->Wayland bridge.
